The client
The GREENTECH FESTIVAL (GTF) is Europe's leading sustainable tech event and was launched by Formula 1 World Champion, Nico Rosberg, and Greentech entrepreneur, Marco Voigt, in 2019.
GTF CONNECT is an international event series initiated by the GREENTECH FESTIVAL, which first took place in London in 2021. They’ve expanded globally, and their aim is to celebrate and promote green change across the entire planet, as this world urgently needs sustainable transformation. Each event typically consists of an AWARDS evening, honoring the greatest minds of the greentech industry, followed by a CONFERENCE where attendees can experience a variety of panels, activations and exhibitions, as well as green start-up slams, investor meetings and networking opportunities.
GTF’s 2024 tour took the team to Berlin, London, and Singapore before their final stop of the year at The Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. Lena Rose PR came on board for this LA stop to provide local expertise.
The situation
The marketing and publicity team at GTF came to us looking for experts on the LA media landscape in order to propel their event attendance and help them secure high-level panelists and conference speakers, VIP GREEN AWARDS attendees, media partnerships and press placements. This was their second time hosting their AWARDS and CONFERENCE in LA, and by bringing on a local PR agency for the first time, they benefitted from boots on the ground intel regarding location, dates, news cycles, target guests, press, and more.
Through a variety of pitch angles and strategic media + community outreach, pre and post-event press releases, as well as local calendar and newsletter listings, GTF Connect LA saw an increase in ticket sign ups from 351 tickets the previous year, to 841 tickets booked in 2024. Additionally, we locked in a variety of VIP GREEN AWARDS attendees, and conference speakers + panelists through our rolodex of connections. We also secured conference press passes for local media, assisted on-site for real time interviews and conducted post-event activities.
